This Privacy Policy describes how system collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use the Serenity mobile app (the “App”)

About Serenity.Works software is designed for the hospitality industry to improve maintenance, housekeeping, and front office related workflow efficiencies. The mobile app is primarily focused on work order management for the maintenance department. The supervisors and technicians can create new work orders, view and manage work orders, update activity on assigned orders, track time and review completed work orders. The app users must have an existing serenity. Works account in order to use the app.

The app uses push notifications to notify about new work orders assigned and uses camera to collect photos before and after completing a task (work order) by maintenance employee.

Our targeted users

Hospitality industry employees handling maintenance, housekeeping and front office are the target audience for the app. The App is only to be used in a business-to-business setting and is only designed for a commercial audience. Children under the age of 16 are not the intended audience for it, nor is it meant for their use.

Personal information handled by the app

"Personal Information" is any information that can reasonably be used to directly or indirectly identify, describe, relate to, or otherwise connect you to another person. Publicly accessible, deidentified, or aggregated data are not considered to be personal information. The categories of Personal Information the App handles, include

How the app handles personal information

When the app is downloaded and installed, it will be prompted to enter login credentials to access the app features. The login information is provided by administrative staff to each app user through their regular communication channel. The app user has an option to change the password using the profile screen

The App automatically collects Personal Information (such as your mobile device's manufacturer and model information, operating system, language, and region settings).We do not sell Personal Information or location data collected by the App.

Photos: We collect photos of the work order at the time of reporting request. When an employee completes a task, he/she has an option to upload pictures. The pictures are uploaded to website

Usage data: We collect data about how users interact with our services (including analytics that we or third parties conduct for the purpose of improving our services). This includes data such as access dates and times, app features and/or pages viewed, app crashes.

Device data: We may collect data about the devices used to access our services, including the hardware models, device IP address, operating systems and versions, software and file names and versions.

Device permissions

Most mobile device platforms (iOS, Android, etc.) have defined certain types of device data that apps cannot access without the device owner's permission, and these platforms have different methods for how that permission can be obtained. iOS devices notify users the first time the Serenity app requests permission to access certain types of data and gives users the option to grant or refuse permission. Android devices notify users of the permissions that the Serenity app seeks before their first use of the app, and use of the app constitutes a grant of such permission.

Serenity App provides users with notifications and updates related to activity on their account and assigned work orders. These notifications are a necessary part of using the app and cannot be disabled.

Users may enable Serenity app to send push notifications about new loads assigned to employees. Push notifications may be enabled or disabled through Settings on iOS or Android.
